When To Plan Your Engagement Session

Today I wanted to talk to my brides about when to plan your engagement session. Depending on when you get engaged is when you should take your engagement photos. You want to take them at least six months before your wedding day that way you can put them in your save the dates if you want to. Also planning your session six months in advance crosses of one of the many things on your wedding to-do list.

Your engagement photos are some of the most important photos to most of my brides. It's an excuse to get all dressed up and have some fun with the man who you will spend the rest of your life with. I want to write this post today to give you some helpful advice to do just that.

When you figure out when your wedding date is you can plan how far ahead you want to schedule your session. You next want to figure out what season and backdrop you want for your engagement photos. If you love spring plan your session for late February to early June that is when the flowers are in the most bloom and when the leaves are the most green. If you love summer you want to plan your session for late June to late September because it stays light longer and the leaves are still a beautiful and rich green. For fall you want to plan your session from the first of October to the end of November, that is when the leaves are the richest shades of red, yellow, and orange. Lastly, for winter you want to plan from the beginning of December to the beginning of February that is when Albuquerque gets the most snow.

I hope all of this information has helped you better know how and when to plan your engagement session. I am so excited to see all that 2018 brings you, beautiful brides and grooms. Happy wedding planning!
